Trapped Key Power Isolation Switches (Stainless Steel)

The first stage of any Trapped Key System is to isolate either the switchgear or machinery (or both in complex operations). Traditionally, there are three common isolation methods used, which include mechanical, through the control system or through the power circuitry.

IDEM’s power isolation switches are available in a range of mounting options and can switch up to 63A (selected models).

• 316 Grade Stainless Steel
• Panel Mount or Box Mount Options
• 4-Pole Contacts Capable of Switching up to 690V at 25A / 40A / 63A
• Power ON = Key Trapped / Power OFF = Key Can be Released

The isolation key can be used to open an access lock with the same code or, if multiple access points are present, a key exchange unit can be used to release different coded keys. This will allow multiple gates to be open at the same time.

Box Mount Trapped Key Power Isolation Switch (SS-ISB1)

The SS-ISB1 is the first stage in the Trapped Key Process and is mounted to a polyester box enclosure. Turning the key switches the POWER OFF, allowing the key to be removed and transferred to the next stage in your Trapped Key System.

  • Body Material: 316 Grade Stainless Steel Barrel and Mounting Plate
  • Contacts: 4-Pole Capable of Switching 690V at 25A or 40A

NOTE: Key sold separately.

Box Mount Trapped Key Power Isolation Switch (SS-ISB2)

The SS-ISB2 is the first stage in the Trapped Key Process and is mounted to a polyester box enclosure. Turning the key switches the POWER OFF, allowing the key to be removed and transferred to the next stage in your Trapped Key System.

  • Body Material: 316 Grade Stainless Steel Barrel and Mounting Plate
  • Contacts: 4-Pole Capable of Switching 690V at 63A

NOTE: Key sold separately. ISB2 has a larger switching capability than the ISB1.

Panel Mount Trapped Key Power Isolation Switch (SS-ISP)

The SS-ISP is the first stage in the Trapped Key Process and is designed to mount directly to your panel.
