Trapped Key Control Isolation Switches with Solenoid Controlled Key Release (Stainless Steel)

Control isolation key Switches with Solenoid Key release are designed to be used within a machines electrical control circuit to stop any hazardous processes before entering. The key is locked in place by an internal solenoid which requires an unlock signal to allow it to be turned to the OFF position.

Each Control isolation key switch with Solenoid Key release unit is fitted with an internal contact block, suitable for switching low currents from safety relays and PLC’S. Upon energising the solenoid, the key can be turned to the OFF position which opens the safety contacts and sends a STOP signal to the control circuit.

Upon isolation, the key can be freed and transferred to the next stage of the trapped key interlocking system. Only when the key is returned, can the control circuit be restored, and the hazardous process be restarted.
