Access Control Safety Switch - Monitored Guard Locking & Trapped Key (Stainless Steel)

The SS-TS-SR access control safety switch with guard locking features an integrated solenoid release key, configurable lid with machine control and optional handle and mounting accessories. Under normal operating conditions, the SS-TS-SR will hold the guard closed preventing unauthorised access.

Each SS-TS-SR access control safety interlock with guard locking includes a monitored safety contact block and a 24VDC operated solenoid which prevents the key from being removed. Providing the solenoid with an unlock signal allows the trapped key to be released which opens the guard door.

The release key (often referred to as the personnel key) is taken inside the hazardous area to reduce the likelihood of an inadvertent start-up. Only when the release key is returned, will the guard re-lock and the machine / process be restarted.

Optional rear release provides a means of escape in the event of an emergency.
