The KLTM-RFID and KLT-SS-RFID Guard Locking Switch is a Tongue Type Safety Interlock Switches which incorporates traditional mechanical anti-tamper tongue technology (cam system) but in addition incorporates Uniquely Coded RFID Non Contact Coded Sensor Technology all in one device.
They hold closed guard doors to prevent operators from moving or hazardous machinery. They are suited to where a high anti-tamper technology is required to prevent accidental or deliberate attempts to by-pass the interlock. Both technologies must be satisfied to enable the machine to be started.
Built with a rugged die cast metal or 316 stainless steel body design and developed with a holding force of 3000N to keep medium to large Guard Doors closed until hazards have been removed, the KLT-RFID is suited to the majority of industry applications.
Designed with a low profile and fixings on an industry standard 73mm centre the KLT-RFID provides easy retro fitting to new or existing guards (or where extra anti-tamper is required).
