Solenoid Controlled Safety Interlock Switches with Power to Lock (Die-Cast)
Our extensive range of power-to-lock solenoid tongue safety switches have been designed to provide robust position and lock detection, keeping guard closed until the hazard has been removed.
Designed to fit to the leading edge of sliding, hinged or removable machine guards, they provide positively operated switching contacts for both the actuator position and solenoid status.
The dual tongue entry point features our highly reliable anti-tamper cam system that cannot be easily defeated. The head can be rotated to provide additional actuation angles (up to 8 on certain models).
The power to lock range are suitable for applications where immediate unlocking is required at removal or loss of power. (They are NOT suitable for machines that require a run-down time).
Depending on the risk assessment for the application, they can be used independently to provide positively operated contacts to IEC60947-5-1. Additionally, they can be used in combination with any dual channel safety monitoring relays to provide up to PLe Category 4 to ISO13849-1 or SIL3 EN62061.

Guard Locking Safety Switch Power to Lock up to 3000N (KLM-P2L)
The KLM-P2L guard locking safety interlock features a slimline die-cast body and a holding force of up to 3000N to keep medium to large guard doors closed until hazards have been removed. 24Vdc must be supplied to the solenoid to keep the guard locked.

The KLTM-P2L guard locking safety interlock features a low profile body and with industry standard 73mm fixing centre, to enable easy retrofitting to new or existing guards. The robust design allows for a holding force of up to 3000N to keep medium to large guard doors closed until the hazard/s have been removed. 24Vdc must be supplied to the solenoid to keep the guard locked.
