Tongue Interlock Safety Switches (Stainless Steel)
Hygiecam are tongue operated interlock switches with tamper-resistant interlocking that cannot be easily defeated. They are designed to provide position interlock detection for moving guards.
These switches feature an industry standard housing and can be fitted to the leading edge of sliding, hinged, or lift-off guards. With dual entry slots and rotatable heads, movable only by releasing the cover screws, these switches offer four or eight different options for actuator entry, depending on the chosen switch.
Depending upon the risk assessment for the application, they can be used independently to provide positively operated contacts to IEC60947-5-1 or they can be used in combination with any dual channel safety monitoring relays.
For the harsh environments like Food Processing, Pharmaceutical and Petro-Chemical Industries the Stainless Steel 316 range offers protection up to IP69K for use in high pressure chemical cleaning or CIP/SIP applications. The IP69K enclosure protection (maintained by a double seal lid gasket) and can be high pressure hosed with detergent up to +80C and 100psi.

K-SS features a rugged IP69K 316 stainless steel housing designed to cope with the rigorous applications of the Food Processing and Packaging, Pharmaceutical and Petro-Chemical Industries. The head can be rotated to give up to four actuator entry positions.

- Contacts: 3 N/C, 2 N/C + 1 N/O, 2 N/C + 2 N/O or 4 N/C
- Connection: Wired or M12 Quick Connect
