Tongue Interlock Safety Switches (Plastic)
Kobra are tongue operated interlock switches with tamper-resistant interlocking that cannot be easily defeated. They are designed to provide position interlock detection for moving guards.
These switches feature an industry standard housing and can be fitted to the leading edge of sliding, hinged, or lift-off guards. With dual entry slots and rotatable heads, movable only by releasing the cover screws, these switches offer four different options for actuator entry, depending on the chosen switch.
Depending upon the risk assessment for the application, they can be used independently to provide positively operated contacts to IEC60947-5-1 or they can be used in combination with any dual channel safety monitoring relays.
The housing is manufactured from a high specification, red polyester. For greater durability, Kobra tongue interlock safety switches are available with optional 316 stainless steel head.

K-15 features an industry standard housing with a 3-pole contact block and 3 conduit entries for easy wiring. The K-SS-SS comes with a stainless-steel head for greater durability, especially on frequently opened guards. The head can rotate to provide up to 4 actuator entry positions.
