Tongue Interlock Safety Switches (Die-Cast)
Kobra are tongue operated interlock switches with tamper-resistant interlocking that cannot be easily defeated. They are designed to provide position interlock detection for moving guards.
These switches feature an industry standard housing and can be fitted to the leading edge of sliding, hinged, or lift-off guards. With dual entry slots and rotatable heads, movable only by releasing the cover screws, these switches offer eight different options for actuator entry, depending on the chosen switch.
Depending upon the risk assessment for the application, they can be used independently to provide positively operated contacts to IEC60947-5-1 or they can be used in combination with any dual channel safety monitoring relays.
The robust, die-cast metal body is painted red and suitable for use in harsh environments. For greater durability, IDEM’s tongue interlock safety switches are available with 316 stainless steel heads.
