Miniature Tongue Interlock Safety Switches (Plastic)

Our miniature tongue operated interlock switches feature a tamper-resistant interlocking mechanism which cannot be easily defeated. They are designed to provide position interlock detection for small moving guards.

These switches feature a compact design (25mm wide / 18mm fixing) and can be fitted to the leading edge of sliding, hinged, or lift-off guards. With dual entry slots and rotatable heads, movable only by releasing the cover screws, these switches offer eight different options for actuator entry.

Depending upon the risk assessment for the application, they can be used independently to provide positively operated contacts to IEC60947-5-1 or they can be used in combination with any dual channel safety monitoring relays.

STAINLESS STEEL GUIDE: To assist with guard alignment IDEM recommend that you use the Stainless-Steel Guide accessory (Part Number 140179).

Compact Tongue Interlock Safety Switch (INCH-1)

The compact body is only 25mm wide with 18mm fixing centres, ideal for restricted spaces. The rotatable head provides up to 8 actuator entry positions.

Contacts: 2 N/C or 1 N/C + 1 N/O
Connection: Wired or M12 Quick Connect

Compact Tongue Interlock Safety Switch (INCH-3)

The compact body is only 25mm wide with 18mm fixing centres, ideal for restricted spaces. The rotatable head provides up to 8 actuator entry positions. In addition to the INCH-1, the INCH-3 has three M16 conduit entries and 3-Pole contact blocks.
