SCR Safety Relays (First Generation)

IDEM’s range of SCR and SEU Safety Relays are designed in accordance with EN60204-1 for safety circuits and can be used in conjunction with Mechanical Interlock Guard Switches, Emergency Stop Switches, Non-Contact Guard Switches or Light Curtains to achieve redundant monitoring and fault checking up to PLe Category 4 ISO13849-1.

Using dual channel circuitry, the SCR-i range monitors safety contacts for opening and closing, short circuits and can be configured to check for correct opening of external machine contactors/relays.

Applications include the monitoring of safety interlock switches (guard door monitoring), emergency stop devices and sensors. For applications requiring time-controlled delay after opening of the guard switch, special time delayed output contacts are available (selectable between 0 to 30 seconds).

The SCR-1 internal logic uses force guided relays to achieve cross monitoring, ensuring single faults are detected at or before the next demand upon the safety function.

Safety Monitoring Relay Expansion Module (SEU-1)

The SEU-1 is an expansion unit which offers 3 additional safety output contacts to the SCR-range. You must have a standard SCR relay for this expansion unit to operate.

Safety Monitoring Relay with Time Delay (SCR-4-TD)

The SCR-4-TD internal logic uses force guided relays to achieve cross monitoring, ensuring single faults are detected at or before the next demand upon the safety function. The SCR-4 features both standard and delayed outputs in a variety of configurations.

Configurations Available: SCR-4-TD-1 with Instant 3NC and Delayed 1NC / SCR-4-TD-2 with Instant 2NC and Delayed 2NC / SCR-4-TD-3 with Instant 1NC and Delayed 3NC

Safety Relay Expansion Module with Time Delay (SEU-TD-1)

The SEU-TD-1 is an expansion unit which offers 3 additional time delayed safety output contacts to the SCR-range. You must have a standard SCR relay for this expansion unit to operate.

Two-Hand Control Safety Monitoring Relay (SCR-2H)

IDEM’s SCR-2H is a compact, universal 2 hand control safety monitoring relay. It complies with EN574, Type IIIC and is intended for use in safety circuits designed in accordance with EN60204-1.

• Outputs only close when both buttons are pressed

Note: It is important to arrange the buttons such that accidental operation or easy bypass cannot be achieved, and in accordance with EN574 and EN999.
