IDEM’s comprehensive range of RFID Coded Non-Contact Safety Interlock Switches have been designed to deliver high functional safety with very high anti-tamper coded activation. The switches feature voltage-free safety outputs that are compatible with most safety relays and can achieve up to PLe/Category 4 to ISO 13849-1 (depending on wiring). The LED indication allows for easy-to-understand diagnostics by providing open/close and code status information.

The switches are available in two coding types: Master (M) and Unique (U). The Master type allows only one actuator to work at a time and can be re-taught by powering the switch on and off, whereas the Unique type also allows only one actuator to work at a time but cannot be re-taught to another actuator.

The switches conform to IEC 60947-5-3 and can be used in compliance with ISO12100, ISO14121, and ISO14119 directives.

The switch body is manufactured from mirror polished Stainless Steel 316, which is specified to operate at temperatures up to +80C and is resistant to various environmental factors including high pressure cleaning after foreign particle contamination. The switches offer IP69K ingress protection and are suitable for CIP and SIP cleaning processes.
