RFID Coded Non-Contact Safety Interlock Switches (Plastic)

IDEM’s comprehensive range of RFID Coded Non-Contact Safety Interlock Switches have been designed to deliver high functional safety with very high anti-tamper coded activation. The switches feature voltage-free safety outputs that are compatible with most safety relays and can achieve up to PLe/Category 4 to ISO 13849-1 (depending on wiring). The LED indication allows for easy-to-understand diagnostics by providing open/close and code status information.

The switches are available in two coding types: Master (M) and Unique (U). The Master type allows only one actuator to work at a time and can be re-taught by powering the switch on and off, whereas the Unique type also allows only one actuator to work at a time but cannot be re-taught to another actuator.

The switches conform to IEC 60947-5-3 and can be used in compliance with ISO12100, ISO14121, and ISO14119 directives.

The switches are constructed using red polyester material, which offers good tensile strength, excellent resistance to abrasion, and high durability against environmental factors such as UV rays and moisture.

RFID Non-Contact Safety Interlock Switch (BPF:M18)

The BPF is an RFID machine guard safety switch that uses RFID technology to detect the presence of a guard and ensure safe operation of machinery. The M18 design is compact and versatile, suitable for mounting directly into machine guard frames.

The KPF is an RFID machine guard safety switch that uses RFID technology to detect the presence of a guard and ensure safe operation of machinery.

NOTE: Designed with an industry standard fixing (52mm wide, 98mm long and 40mm) they are especially advantageous when: Severe guard alignment exists using traditional tongue type versions and long mechanical life is required (no moving or contact parts).
