Coded Magnetic Safety Interlock Switches (Stainless Steel)

Magnetically coded, non-contact safety interlock switches (HYGIECODE) are used on hinged, sliding, or removable guard doors where a higher level of tamper resistance is required. They ensure that hazardous machine movements stop when the safeguard is opened.

HYGIECODE coded safety switches utilise solid-state technology, which requires 24VDC to operate and power the integrated LED (for guard status). When connected to a dual channel safety monitoring device, HYGIECODE provides a higher level of functional safety (up to PL e). Solid-State technology offers many additional benefits including resistance to shock and vibration, and reduced hysteresis between contacts changing state.

HYGIECODE coded safety switches are manufactured from rugged 316 grade Stainless Steel, suitable for CIP and SIP cleaning procedures, with an ingress protection rating of IP69K. The mirror polished surfaces are less porous and smoother, reducing the accumulation of dirt, bacteria, and organic residues. This makes HYGIEMAG an excellent choice for applications in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries, where hygiene and safety are of primary importance.
