Safety Interlocks with CIP Safety / PROFIsafe

The UGB-NET is a Type 4 guard-locking safety switch that combines a high-coded RFID sensor with integrated EtherNET/IP and PROFINET connectivity to deliver advanced machine safety in a single, networked device. Designed for seamless integration into modern industrial networks, it enables efficient safety management and real-time monitoring of access points.

The configurable UGB-NET lid supports either four or six machine control pushbuttons and can be supplied with an optional trapped-key mechanism, providing a cost-effective yet high-performance safety solution that complies with the latest international safety standards.

These networked safety switches are ideal for securing access doors and hatches, offering robust, monitored guard-locking functionality. Flexible installation options are available, including sliding or rotary handle arrangements, as well as an optional rear escape feature to enhance operator safety in emergency exit situations.

Using a fieldbus system such as EtherNET/IP or PROFINET significantly reduces installation complexity and overall system costs by minimizing cabling, components, and control cabinet requirements.
