Stainless Steel Magnetic Non-Contact Safety Switches for Explosive Environments

In electrical and safety engineering, hazardous locations are places where fire or explosion hazards may exist. Sources of such hazards include gases, vapours, dust and fibres which are combustible or flammable.

IDEM’s range of explosion proof non-contact safety interlock switches have been developed to satisfy the above conditions and have been approved by IECEx to the latest ATEX standards.

The robust 316 stainless steel housings are sealed to IP67, suitable for use manufacturing environments in food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. All IDEM explosion proof switches are fully encapsulated and include an external earthing pin.

The CM1-Ex explosion proof safety interlock switch for use in hazardous environments are designed to interlock hinged, sliding or removable guard doors or hatches. All electrical components are fully encapsulated and encased with a stainless back plate to prevent tempering.
